Return to list of news stories GERMAN STUDENTS GO PLATINUM AND WELLSWAY
Seven motor vehicle technicians from Germany recently joined the service teams at Platinum Renault and Wellsway BMW and MINI in Bath. The technicians, who are currently studying at the G9 Technical College in Hamburg, spent three weeks in the UK as part of a student exchange organised by the Leonardo Programme. The Programme supports the development of skills and training and is part of the European Commission's Lifelong Learning Programme. The students spent two weeks studying at S&B Automotive Academy in Bristol before joining the team at Platinum and Wellsway for a weekӳ practical work experience assisting the technicians. Arrangements are currently being made to send a group of technicians from S&B, including apprentices from Platinum and Wellsway, to spend time in Hamburg studying with their German counterparts. Mark Greenfield, Group Aftersales Director, said җe are delighted to have been able to host the G9 students while they were participating in this valuable exchange programme. Their time with us proved very productive and I am pleased to say that they have made some new friends during their visitҮ Caira Day, Group HR Manager, said Ҕhe exchange was a real success. All the students let us know how much they had enjoyed working at Platinum and Wellsway and our Service Managers were really impressed with the professionalism shown by the G9 techniciansҮ Platinum Renault and Wellsway BMW and MINI are part of Renrod Ltd, who have 13 dealerships incorporating the BMW, MINI, Hyundai, Nissan, Renault, Skoda, Toyota and Vauxhall franchises.
