GERMAN STUDENTS GO PLATINUM AND WELLSWAY

Seven motor vehicle technicians from Germany recently joined the service teams at Platinum Renault and Wellsway BMW and MINI in Bath.

The technicians, who are currently studying at the G9 Technical College in Hamburg, spent three weeks in the UK as part of a student exchange organised by the Leonardo Programme. The Programme supports the development of skills and training and is part of the European Commission's Lifelong Learning Programme.

The students spent two weeks studying at S&B Automotive Academy in Bristol before joining the team at Platinum and Wellsway for a weekӳ practical work experience assisting the technicians. Arrangements are currently being made to send a group of technicians from S&B, including apprentices from Platinum and Wellsway, to spend time in Hamburg studying with their German counterparts.

Platinum Renault and Wellsway BMW and MINI are part of Renrod Ltd, who have 13 dealerships incorporating the BMW, MINI, Hyundai, Nissan, Renault, Skoda, Toyota and Vauxhall franchises.
